EXCHANGE BULLETIN BOARD

HELP! HELP! HELP! Your help is needed for the South Sydney Exchange - May 13 - 20, 2009Specifically help is needed for the following activities:

Day on the Lake on Saturday 5/16 – No one has volunteered to be in charge. We will also need a few boats to accommodate the Ambassadors.

Day Hosting on Sunday 5/17- Marti Reckdenwald is in charge of this activity and needs volunteers. If you want a chance to spend some one on one time with the Ambassadors, this is a great chance. You get to design the activity for the day. It can be anything you want to do. Also Marti has some good suggestions if you need help in this area.

Welcome Dinner on Wednesday 5/13 – Merilee Brister is in charge.

Farewell Dinner on Tuesday 5/19 – Pat Christman is in charge.

PLEASE THINK ABOUT LENDING A HAND AND MAKING THIS A GREAT EXCHANGE. Call the person in charge and volunteer!      Susan Schafer....ED

TREASURER’S REPORT

Report is located under Members Only webpage.

MEMBERSHIP MUSINGS BY MERILEE

Since a freaky snow storm caused 10,000 folks in Hartwell to lose electrical power, we were forced to cancel our March meeting with Anderson University visitors.  We were also planning to celebrate the fifth anniversary of World Friendship day with Friendship Force International.  We will re-schedule the event with our visitors at another meeting.

I am compiling cell phone numbers for our members to be distributed with the new directories at our April meeting. If you have not emailed your cell phone number to me, please do so ASAP.  We realized a need for these numbers when we lost electrical power and had difficulty contacting our members that the March meeting would be cancelled due to loss of electrical power in Hartwell.

Please continue to think about inviting guests to our meetings from your daily lives.  Remember participating in exchanges will reward you with experiences and friendships you will cherish forever.

In Friendship,

Merilee & Richard Brister ml7777@yahoo.com or merilee@ffolh

Greenville Drive Baseball Games

I have contacted the Greenville Drive about tickets for this season.  Box seats near home plate are $8.00 each.  To confirm saving the seats we must pay for them when they are reserved.  I have two outings scheduled so far: one in April and one in May.  The April 16th game is on Thursday at 7 pm.  The game for the Sydney Exchange is on Friday May 15th at 7 pm. I have ordered 32 tickets for the April 16th game.  But I can get more so if you want to go, bring your money.  If you cannot attend the April 6th. meeting and you want to go to one or both of the games, please call me immediately.

I will bring the tickets for both the games to the April 6th meeting for distribution.

Bill Schafer
